HUNTER EDUCATION
CLASSES FOR REGION 2

**NOTE** The following class schedule is current and is updated the day the information is received from our Region 2 office.

**NOTE** If you have lost or need to replace your Hunter Education card, please call the TWRA Regional Office near the county where you took the class. They will verify your information and make sure we have your correct mailing address in our computer system. Then you can go to your nearest TWRA license agent and request a replacement card. There is a $7.00 fee for the Hunter Education Card replacement.

The class is free and you must attend every class meeting to successfully complete the course. Please bring a pencil and your Social Security Number to the first class. Students must be at least 9 years old when the class begins.

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1969 must possess proof that they have successfully completed a hunter education class before hunting in Tennessee.

Those under 10 years of age do not need a Hunter Education certificate, but must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age, who must remain in a position to take immediate control of the hunting device.

All classes will have an additional "live fire" classroom day.

The hunter education class instructs students in Hunter Responsibility, Hunter Ethics, Hunting Tools, Shooting Fundamentals, Firearm Safety, Wildlife Management, Survival, and First Aid.

Cheatham County - THIS CLASS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE CD-ROM WEBSITE COURSE. Bethany Hills Camp (Craggy Hope Road in Kingston Springs), August 27 - September 1 (6:30 - 9:00 p.m.); live fire details to be announced in class; no pre-registration required.

Davidson County - CD/Online Field Day, Tennessee State Fair Grounds in Nashville, Saturday, July 14 at 9:00 a.m., pre-register by calling Juanita Tate at (615) 781-6538.

Davidson County - CD/Online Field Day, Ellington Ag. Center (Ed Jones Auditorium - 5105 Edmonson Pike); Saturday, August 25 (8:00 a.m. until finished); class limited to 200 students; pre-register by calling the Region 2 Office at (615) 781-6622; bring online test, Social Security Number, and No. 2 pencil.

Franklin County - THIS CLASS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE CD-ROM WEBSITE COURSE. Franklin County Ag. Giles County - THIS CLASS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE CD-ROM WEBSITE COURSE. Second Street Church of Christ in Pulaski, August 20, 21, 23, and 24 (6:00 - 9:00 p.m.), and Saturday, August 25 (live fire starts at 8:00 a.m.); no pre-registration required; David Robertson - Instructor.

Rutherford County - THIS CLASS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE CD-ROM WEBSITE COURSE. Sports Complex in Murfreesboro, August 6-10 (6:00 - 9:00 p.m.), no pre-registration required, Allen York - Instructor.

Sumner County - THIS CLASS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE CD-ROM WEBSITE COURSE.   Hendersonville High School Auditorium, week of August 13 (6:00 - 9:00 p.m.), will shoot on Saturday (August 18) at the Gallatin Gun Club starting at 7:00 a.m.; bring Social Security Number and a black or blue ball point pen (not a felt tip or roller ball pen; for more information call the instructor, Ben Bush, at (615) 824-0883 (home) or at Vol. State College (615-452-8600, Ext. 2144).

Sumner County - THIS CLASS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE CD-ROM WEBSITE COURSE.
