HUNTER EDUCATION
**NOTE** The following class schedule is current and is updated the day the information is received from our Region 1 office. **NOTE** If you have lost or need to replace your Hunter Education card, please call the TWRA Regional Office near the county where you took the class. They will verify your information and make sure we have your correct mailing address in our computer system. Then you can go to your nearest TWRA license agent and request a replacement card. There is a $7.00 fee for the Hunter Education Card replacement. The class is free and you must attend every class meeting to successfully complete the course. Please bring a pencil and your Social Security Number to the first class. Students must be at least 9 years old when the class begins. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1969 must possess proof that they have successfully completed a hunter education class before hunting in Tennessee. Those under 10 years of age do not need a Hunter Education certificate, but must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age, who must remain in a position to take immediate control of the hunting device. All classes will have an additional "live fire" classroom day. The hunter education class instructs students in Hunter Responsibility, Hunter Ethics, Hunting Tools, Shooting Fundamentals, Firearm Safety, Wildlife Management, Survival, and First Aid. For more
