SHELTON FERRY WMA DOVE FIELD
Crops planted: 40 acres of winter wheat. Hunting dates: Same as statewide seasons (season opens at 12:00 noon on September 1). Hunting allowed from designated fields only. Directions: (Montgomery County) - From Nashville, take 1-24 West to Exit 11 (Hwy. 76); turn left off the exit and follow Hwy. 76. Turn left on Hwy. 13-48. Stay on Hwy. 48 when Hwy. 13 splits off. Watch for a power substation on the left. Turn left onto Southside Road. This will empty into the Shelton Ferry bottoms where the dove field is located. A WMA small game permit is required.
