BIG SANDY WMA DOVE FIELD

Crops planted: 15 acres of sunflowers.

Hunt dates: Opens September 1 at 12:00 noon. Same as the statewide seasons except all small game hunting (excluding waterfowl hunting) is closed during Young Sportsman deer hunts.

Directions: From Paris, take Hwy. 69A to Big Sandy. Turn left on Haggler Ridge Road. Go about 2 miles passing two 90-degree turns and turn right on a gravel road in the third 90-degree turn. The field is at the end of the gravel road.

A WMA Small Game Permit is required.
