    The Division maintains lists of current public notices of permit applications, draft permits, public hearings, and rule-making activities. Public comment and participation are encouraged on all of these issues. Comments on any issue are welcome at any time and may be made by sending e-mail to [email protected].

    Anyone wishing to be notified of public notices of permitting decisions, public hearings, and rule-making activities may request to be included on the Division's public notice mailing list.

    To be added to the public notice mailing list for NPDES and SOP - Municipal, Domestic and Industrial permits / Interbasin Water Transfer Notices send your complete contact information, including name, phone number, mailing address, and email address, to [email protected]. Public notices are sent out twice per month.

    To be added to the public notice mailing list for ARAP / 401 Certifications / Reelfoot Lake Navigation permits send your complete contact information, including name, phone number, mailing address, and email address, to [email protected].

    To be added to the public notice mailing list for NPDES/ARAP Mining Permits send your complete contact information, including name, phone number, mailing address, and email address, to [email protected].

    To be added to the notification registry for Oil and Gas Permits send your name and email address to [email protected]

    Permit appeals are heard by the Water Quality Control Board. To be added to the sunshine notice list for Water Quality Control Board meetings, send your email address to [email protected]. The sunshine notice is sent out at least monthly.

    September 24, 2008 - Public hearing to receive comments concerning the draft State Operation Permit for Tennessee Wastewater Systems, Inc. in Robertson County

    September 23, 2008 - Public hearing to seek comments concerning an application for a state water quality permit to TDOT, NRS08-034.

    August 19, 2008 - Public Hearing PH2008_013, published July 22, 2008 has been postponed until a later date (not yet determined). There will be no public hearing on August 25, 2008.

    August 7, 2008 - Proposed TMDL for PCBs in the Loosahatchie River Watershed

    July 15, 2008 - Public hearing to seek comments concerning an application for a state water quality permit for the City of Johnson City.

    July 14, 2008 - Proposed TMDL for Siltation and Habitat Alteration in the South Fork Cumberland River Watershed.

    June 11, 2008 - Public hearing to seek comments concerning an application for a state water quality permit for Hamilton County

    May 13, 2008 - Public hearing to seek comments concerning an application for a state water quality permit for Cartwright Close, LLC.

    May 5, 2008 - Public hearing to seek comments concerning an application for a state water quality permit by Kodak Land Partners, LLC.

    April 17, 2008 - Public hearing in Caryville to receive public comments concerning the issuance of NPDES permits to Mountainside Coal Company.

    April 15, 2008 - Public hearing to seek comments concerning an application for a state water quality permit for the City of Columbia Wastewater Treatment System to construct a gravity sewer.

    March 10, 2008 - Public hearing on April 15, 2008 to receive comments concerning the proposed issuance of an NPDES Permit to TCB Farms LLC.

    February 28, 2008 - Public hearing on April 3, 2008 to receive comments concerning the proposed issuance of an NPDES Permit to Twin Calves Farm.

    November 30, 2007 - Public rulemaking hearing before WPC, acting on behalf of the State Oil and Gas Board, to consider the adoption and promulgation of rules.
