Other leases
VAAP has and has had a variety of tenants including: the US Army Recruiting Command, Defense Contract Audit Services (provides quality assurance and contract auditing in Hamilton County), and Raytheon Corporation (assembles US Air Force and US Navy missiles). The post also had a lease with the Chattanooga Public School Bus System, property that currently is used by the US Army Reserve. VAAP has several interservice support agreements with other DOD organizations. VAAP has several easements with various utility companies, public entities, and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) for power line, road, sewer, telephone lines, natural gas line, and fuel oil line rights-of-way.
One lease to Southern Central Bell Telephone Company for purposes of telephone communication lines rights-of-way is indefinite. There is a lease to Hamilton County Tennessee for the purpose of constructing a fire station (the lease dates from 1 August 1977 to 31 July 2002).
