Commissioner Jim Fyke Bio | Update About TDEC |
Welcome to the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s Web site.
Our department was created to protect and improve the quality of our state’s land, air, water and recreation resources. We administer a variety of programs to safeguard human health and the environment while ensuring our natural resources meet healthful, regulatory standards. We also manage 53 State Parks and 79 State Natural Areas for the benefit of Tennessee and its citizens.
I am proud of the difference that Environment and Conservation makes for Tennessee every day. Whether you are hiking along our many trails or enjoying the state’s abundant, clean waters,
I trust you can see this positive impact too.
The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex or disability and is fully committed to nondiscriminatory practices within the scope of its responsibilities. |
Why go across the country when what you want is already right here in Tennessee. Plan your ideal summer trip or day of discovery at an award-winning Tennessee State Park today. |
