Camping

Tims Ford State Park offers a 52 site campground, with water and electric (30 amp service) at each site, and a dumping station available at the entrance to the campground. The camp sites can accommodate RV's up to 35 feet in length, and are able to accommodate both RV's and Tents. The camp sites are limited to 6 people per site, and one(1) RV and one (1) Tent, or Two Large Tents per site. Two of the camp sites are ADA sites, and are set aside for that reason. The camp sites are available year around on a first come first served basis. The campground has two bathhouses, central located that provide hot showers, lavatories and commodes. The campground is located on a point overlooking Tims Ford Lake, with access to the lake. The campground has a playground located with in the campground, and several other playground located though out the park.

Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis and the maximum stay is two weeks. A laundry facility is also available at the camp check-in building. The cost to wash and dry is 75 cents per load.

Fairview Campground

General Information:

Fairview Campground is a satellite area of Tims Ford State Park. It is open from April through October, and offers a total of 88 camp sites, 30 sites with water, electric (30 amp service)***, and sewer hook ups, 38 sites with water and electric hook ups, 20 sites with water only. A central located bathhouse also provide hot showers, lavatories and commodes. A dump station is also available. Campsites are available on a first come first serve basis except for the full hook-up sites which are rented in March for the entire camping season. Campsites are limited to 6 people per site, and one(1) RV and one (1) Tent, or Two Large Tents per site. The Campground is located adjacent to the Devil's Step Public Use Area that has a boat ramp for access to Tims Ford Lake.

Fairview Campground holds its annual auction for Seasonal Campsites on the last Friday of March each year.  The auction will begin at 1:00 PM at the Fairview Campground.  For more information call 931-967-1967.

**The electrical service at Fairview Campground is 30amp. If you use 110 (household plug-ins) you will need an adaptor. Adaptors are available at the camper check-in.
